The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is responsible for performing occupational therapy programs and treatments as directed by the occupational therapist for inpatient and outpatient pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations. Provides employee and patient educational programs as directed. The duties of this position require patient and family education and the exercise of courtesy and patience in speaking with and assisting patients, families, medical personnel and others in order to provide quality customer service.
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- AOTA certification.
- Technical training in the use of occupational therapy equipment used in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Current certification in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for all age groups.
